Make a Difference Monday

Last night as I tidied up my house before bed, I was giving thought to all the things I would put on my "to do" list for Monday.

Nothing was really all that urgent. But, Monday is always a good day for a list and it keeps me motivated when my bed seems all too inviting.

Yeah....this is my list, written out at 5 am this morning. I am not sure but if I accomplish all this today, I just might have to do a post on "How to Be SuperWoman." That's funny because I am so not super anything. Some days I can hardly get my bed made. Seriously.

But I did have a bit of a "moment" in all my thinking before bed last night (you may understand better why the title of my blog is "Just Thinkin." It is a habit of mine.). I remembered that Monday's on KLove, the Christian radio station I listen to periodically, promotes "Make a Difference Monday" every Monday.

Mmmm....I thought, I should do a post and challenge myself and others to make a difference on Monday.

Because.....
I never make a difference on Mondays. You know what I mean? It all sounds good. Wish I did. But I just don't seem to put it on my list with anticipation of crossing it off. And that is probably because I am too  consumed with my other things to do.

Here's the plain truth of the matter:

It takes effort to think of others and do something about it!

It takes effort to make a difference on Mondays...

or any day for that matter.

So, is anyone up for the challenge? Want to make a difference today?

I do and am going to.

If you want to make a difference today, let me know. Just click on the comment word at the bottom of this post, sign in with your google account or just anonymously (if you do that be sure and sign your name in your comment so I know who you are), or leave a comment under my Facebook link and tell me how you are going to make a difference this Monday.

Here's is what I am going to do on Make a Difference Monday:

Send a note, via the old fashioned, hand-written, USPS way, to a secret person who I can't reveal because they read my blog.

Can't wait to see what all the rest of you plan to do.

"Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other."
Romans 12:10 NLT

Happy Monday!

I love your blogging. This is wonderful! I want to make a difference by speaking into peoples lives today in any way I can. Starting with my husband and daughter. Encouragement never gets old.
