Monday....

I am feverishly preparing for this weekend's Women in the Word day. I am studying the Feasts of the Lord. Wow! Where has all this info been in the past 25 years. It is so awesome.

In fact, God is awesome. From beginning to end he has it all figured out. There is really nothing as satisfying as seeing the Old Testament fulfilled in the New Testament and watching the pieces of the puzzle fall into place.

Outside of the "feasts" studying, I went to read Beth Moore's blog and ended up entering a contest on her blog. She asked for anyone who had read Scripture first thing this morning to write one Scripture out (even if we read a whole chapter it could only be one verse). Then we were to write how it spoke to us.

Well, I read 1 Samuel 6 this morning. It is one of those chapters that doesn't spark a lot of thought in me so I wasn't sure what to write. Even picking one Scripture that would make sense standing alone would be hard. So I just chose the first verse:

"When the ark of the LORD had been in Philistine territory seven months..."

What could I possibly write about that one verse when I could hardly write anything about the whole chapter this morning. Then it hit me....

God's holy things need to be where God intended them to be.

In my Daniel Bible study, written by Beth Moore, she talks about how easily we forget that we are holy and we need to treat ourselves as holy. And now I can add one more thing to that....

God's holy things need to be where God intended them to be.

Amen and amen.

Well, the feasts await. I must press on.
