Wall of quotes

Over the past several years, I have taken to posting quotes on my wall, usually found during my time spent with the Lord. After a while, the small portion of wall, devoted to sticky notes, looks a little overbearing. It dawned on me that, instead of taking them down and putting them in a drawer, I should first post them on my blog. Then, I can easily look back and read them and you can share in them as well. So, here are my latest quotes that were headed for the drawer.

"...the only way to live an undefeated life is to live looking to God." Oswald Chambers

"The Lord is my confidence and will keep my foot from being snared." Prov. 3:26

"May God not find compaints in us anymore, but spiritual vitality - a readiness to face anything he brings our way." Oswald Chambers

"I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint." Jeremiah 31:25

"The only proper goal of life is that we manifest the Son of God." Oswald Chambers

"Joy comes from seeing the complete fulfillment of the specific purpose for which I was created and born again, not from succesfully doing something of my own choosing. Oswald Chambers

"...there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries." Daniel 2:28

Just in case you are wondering, I do read other things than my Bible and Oswald Chambers. It just so happened that these were the quotes posted at the moment. When my small, designated space for quotes is full again, I will share some more.

OK-I am NOT a scrap-booker in the create-frilly-pages-with-ribbons-and-button-and-bows, but I say when you are taking them down, you glue them, these scraps of wisdom, onto pages and put them in page covers and start a book. By the end of your life, in your own had-writing or from clippings and scraps of paper, you'll have a great record of your journey with God.

I just started doing this a year ago and at first, I thought I'd type everything neatly on computer, but I realized, sometimes the intensity of my writing or the pen I used added to what I recorded. The fact that you currently have so much Oswald and Bible is an indicator of "the road you're on."

I am collecting mine in an antique scrapbook cover. I wrote a quote I once heard on the inside: Herein lies a map of my planet.

Book it!
